Our Infant Classroom
We know the first year of life can have a big influence on a child’s success in the years that follow. That’s why teachers in your child’s Infant classroom provide a loving and nurturing environment as they lay the foundation for learning. This includes literacy; communication and vocabulary skills to help your infant better express their needs; gross motor skills and sensory development; and emotional well-being.

At Primrose School of Eagan, the health and safety of your infant shapes every decision we make — from how we set up the room to how our teachers are trained. Here is what you can expect in our infant classroom every day.
- Rigorous Handwashing: Staff follow strict handwashing protocols integrated into daily routines to protect your infant’s health.
- Illness Monitoring: Teachers are trained to recognize signs of illness, with clear signage posted in the classroom to support consistent vigilance.
- Frequent Sanitization: High-touch toys and surfaces are disinfected regularly throughout the day.
- Ongoing Staff Training: Our team receives continuous health and safety training, including current first aid and CPR certification.
- Illness Policy: Any infant or staff member with respiratory symptoms or fever must stay home until fever-free for 24 hours.
- Clean Bedding: Crib sheets are laundered daily to maintain a hygienic sleep environment for every infant.
- Advanced Air Purification: Our Bryant Evolution™ Air Purifier — the same technology used in hospitals — re-purifies indoor air up to 8 times per hour, providing a consistently clean breathing environment for your infant.
- Low Teacher-to-Infant Ratios: We maintain optimal ratios to ensure every infant receives attentive, personalized care throughout the day.
- Safe School Plan: A customized safety plan is posted in the classroom for quick teacher reference in any situation.
We would love to show you the infant classroom in person and answer any questions you have about our care practices.
