Shannan Arbabi and Andrew Gol
We are Shannan Arbabi and Andrew Gol, proud owners of the Primrose School of West Allen since 2002! We believe that our backgrounds and experiences shaped our vision for our school, and it is a true joy to see it come to life each day.
Shannan was raised in Oklahoma, but moved to Texas quickly after graduating from law school. Shannan’s legal career has been spent mainly in the area of school law, representing public school districts in matters related to special education, employment, and student issues. Shannan has also been actively involved in the daily operations of Primrose for the past 20 years. Andrew, a native of Houston, holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from UT Austin and UNT, and also earned his Ph.D at Texas Tech University. After working in school administration, Andrew built a strong family therapy practice over 25 years, working with children and also adults. Together, we embrace the Primrose School of West Allen culture and enjoy relationships with our amazing staff and wonderful families. Over the years, Primrose has become our extended family and we are so proud of the reputation our school has earned.
We also have 2 children, who both attended our Primrose school through Kindergarten. Alec, now 25, started Primrose at age 3. Alec graduated from the University of Utah and is a high school math teacher in Austin ISD. Ali, 19, started Primrose as an infant, graduated from Lovejoy High School, and is now attending the University of Florida (Go Gators!). Ali is a competitive equestrian show jumper and plans to pursue a related career after college. We cannot speak about our family without mentioning Oakley, our 3-year old bernedoodle. Oakley adds joy and comedy to our family each day and loves to play on the Primrose playground when the school is closed!
Many parents and staff say there is something unique about the family feel of our school. We are so grateful that our team of teachers and leadership team members embrace shared values and a sincere passion for the children in our care. We enjoy our active roles in the school each day and we look forward to meeting your family soon!

We love Primrose West Allen! The staff and teachers are excellent and so great with all the kids. My son loves them and you know they love him too! I wouldn't want it any other way. He has learned so much in his 2 years at the school. I couldn't be happier or say enought nice things about our experiences at Primrose.
When relocating to a new state, our #1 concern was which school our kids (3 & 4) were going to attend. We searched many schools, but when we stepped into Primrose it just felt right! While touring the school, we saw that all the kids were so happy, interested and engaged. The instructors had big smiles, and the atmosphere was just so pleasant! The facility was so nice, clean and well secured! We enrolled immediately! All the staff knows all the kids by name and who comes to pick them up which definitely gives you a sense of security. All the staff are amazing! Ms. Shannan, the owner, definitely hand picks the finest team! My kids love their instructors and staff so much! Many times they don't even want to leave when I pick them up! I can tell they've learned and matured so much this past year! If you are looking for a school, you can definitely stop because this is the perfect one!

The teachers and staff have always been loving and patient with our son while giving him the structure and balance that he needs to thrive. The school offers excellent communication and shares pictures and curriculum with us regularly so that we can be involved. We only wish that we knew about Primrose in West Allen sooner!

Like all parents, the thought of allowing someone else to teach and watch over your child for a few hours without you there can be daunting. Those fears that come with finding the best preschool for your precious child will be calmed when you meet the teachers and staff at Primrose of West Allen.
As parents of an only child, you can imagine how we researched schools. We wanted to find the place where she would thrive the most. When we entered Primrose of West Allen, we were welcomed with open arms and knew immediately that this was the place for us.
Primrose of West Allen has exceptional teachers that take a developmental approach to learning that insures that children can experience the excitement and wonderment of learning on a daily basis. We truly believe that our daughter will not only be prepared to enter kindergarten, but more importantly she will be a lifelong learner. And for that we will be forever indebted and grateful!
