Nick and Samina Kurji

Franchise Owners Nick and Samina Kurji were introduced to Primrose® through a family friend in Dallas. During a vacation in California, they recognized a need for premium early education options in the Bay Area. Impressed by the quality of education Primrose provides, the Kurjis were thrilled with the opportunity to bring the first Primrose school to the Tri-Valley community and the state of California. Their deep passion for education and desire to extend the Primrose experience to more families motivated their move from Dallas to Pleasanton.

Primrose School of Walnut Creek marks the third of many schools the Kurji’s plan to open in California. “As parents, we understand the importance of instilling a love of learning during a child’s early years, and we believe this is essential to building a new generation of bright citizens,” Nick shared, “Our teachers are the heart of our schools, and we wouldn’t be able to make the impact we do without them.”

Learning Geography in the Venture Program!

Children in our Venture Program explore maps and geography during a hands-on group lesson. Gathered on the classroom rug, students work together with their teacher to locate different states on a large United States map. Through discussion, observation, and participation, the children build early geography skills, learn about places across the country, and practice collaboration while sharing ideas with their classmates. 🗺️📍

Learning concepts through the Wonder Program

In our Wonder Program, learning begins through play! 👶✨ Our infants and toddlers explore how objects relate to one another by stacking, matching, nesting, and building in creative ways. During this hands-on lesson, children discover important early math and science concepts by visually comparing short vs. tall, heavy vs. light, and big vs. small—all with the guidance of caring teachers who turn everyday moments into meaningful learning experiences. 🧱🌈

STEM in the Venture Program (2/2)

The Venture Program is busy creating little chemists! 🧪✨ Our curious students put on their safety goggles and gloves and jumped into a fun science experiment, mixing sugar and baking powder with vinegar to see what would happen. Using test tubes, droppers, and magnifying glasses, they observed, explored, and discovered like real STEM scientists! With teachers guiding the fun through playful, open-ended questions—What do you think will happen? And did the sugar react the same way as the baking powder? Our students stretched their thinking, made exciting observations, and built a love for science through hands-on learning and discovery.

Fire safety

Practicing safety can be an adventure! 🚒✨ During our fire drill, our little learners showed how responsible and ready they are by walking calmly together while holding onto the safety rope. With helping hands, listening ears, and big smiles, they followed directions and worked as a team to stay safe. We’re so proud of how seriously they take safety—way to go, future safety superstars! 🌟🧯
