Our Early Preschool Classroom
Many 2-year-olds want to do everything by themselves. And why not? It’s their way of experimenting and learning to understand the world. Early Preschool teachers provide a safe, nurturing environment where your child can explore and stretch their talents to the fullest all while building self-confidence. Your child will have fun every day as they play and learn important academic skills, social skills and more.
Nurturing Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts®

Active Minds
- Language & LiteracyLanguage & Literacy
You may notice that every day your child is using a new word and is beginning to put words together into phrases and sentences. Throughout each day at Primrose, your child builds vocabulary while engaging in meaningful discussions and conversations with adults and peers.
- Science, Engineering & TechnologyScience, Engineering & Technology
Your 2-year-old is a natural scientist with a curiosity that knows no bounds. Every day, teachers will nurture that curiosity by encouraging questions and guiding your child as they investigate and make new discoveries about the world.
- MathematicsMathematics
As your child explores puzzles, blocks and fun objects to count, they learn about numbers, geometry, problem solving and more! To keep the learning going, your child can also bring math activities home to share what they are learning.
- Social StudiesSocial Studies
Children learn and practice compassion, sharing and generosity as adults encourage and serve as role models for these traits. Your child is learning about the people in their immediate surroundings and how to interact kindly with others. Teachers help your child learn about others through books, images, and scenarios with the Primrose Friends puppets.

Healthy Bodies
- Thumbs Up!: Physical DevelopmentThumbs Up!: Physical Development
Active children are more likely to become active adults. Every day your child will strengthen gross motor muscles by sliding, climbing, jumping and running freely and safely on age-appropriate playgrounds.
- Health & SafetyHealth & Safety
- Balanced Menus: NutritionBalanced Menus: Nutrition
Your child enjoys a tasty, nutritious lunch with their friends and teachers. All food is cut into small pieces, and the teachers talk to the children about the foods they are enjoying. Plus, when your child sees their friends eating a new food, they’re more likely to try it.

Happy Hearts
- Character Development & Life SkillsCharacter Development & Life Skills
We believe who children become is as important as what they know. That’s why Early Preschool teachers use books, music, activities and more to help your child understand concepts like sharing, kindness and generosity.
- Social SkillsSocial Skills
Creating a positive, joyful classroom environment begins with learning the Primrose Rules of the Roost. These simple rules help your child practice kindness, caring for classroom materials and being respectful to each person they encounter.
- Early Art Masters: Creative Arts & ExpressionEarly Art Masters: Creative Arts & Expression
Visual and creative arts stimulate your child’s imagination and critical-thinking skills, which help in other areas of learning and development. Music is a universal language made up of patterns, fractions and sequences and teachers use it to reinforce mathematical and reading concepts.

Our Early Preschool Classroom Teachers & Staff

Destinee Sylvester
Ms. Destinee is one of our Lead Teachers in our Early Preschool classroom. She moved to GA when she was 8 years old. She was attracted to Primrose because of the structured environment and focus on the development of children. She loves working here because there is never a dull day! She gets to walk in every day and be greeted with hugs and hello’s by her favorite tiny humans! Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, binge watching shows, napping and creating shirts for her small business. She believes since children are the future, it is important to nurture, support and inspire the dreams of children. Positivity can only bring good things!

Deanna Fields
Mrs. Deanna moved to Kansas while her husband was stationed at Ft. Riley. She has previous Primrose experience and continued working in childcare while in Kansas as a preschool lead teacher. She has been with Primrose Oregon Park since 2022. In her spare time, she loves going on hikes to new state parks with her dog and husband, cooking and enjoys a good trip to the gym. Her favorite part about working with children is helping the children in her care grow.

Tiffany Smith
Ms. Tiffany was born and raised in Marietta, GA. She comes with previous experience from watching her nephews, who are 2 & 5. She loves finding new ways to make learning fun and is excited to provide a fun learning environment for our students. She loves to sing, read, and do arts and crafts. She enjoys helping other learn new things and can’t wait to help create some lightbulb moments in the classroom.
