Laura Bakker
My name is Laura Bakker and I am the acting Executive Director at Primrose School of Hugo. I was recently relocated to Minnesota from New Jersey where I supported all of our Early Foundation Primrose Schools in Florida, North Carolina, Arizona, and Minnesota.
I hold a degree in Early Childhood Management and have spent over 20 years in the Early Education field. I have led schools ranging from client based, community based, and hybrids which gives me a wealth of knowledge for understanding the community served. I have operated schools varying in size from small capacities to mega-center capacities that service up to 420 children.

Tara Metcalf-Randall
My name is Tara, and I am the Assistant Director. I joined the Primrose School of Hugo team in June of 2024. Previously, I worked at the Forest Lake Area School District as a Preschool educator. I was also at another local learning center for over 22 years where I worked at every level of teaching and assisting
children, families and staff. I have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, with a focus on children with special needs.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and two young daughters. We like to spend time with family and friends out on the lake. We love to spend time outside going on adventures

Janelle Holloway
My name is Janelle Holloway, and I am the Education Coach at Primrose School of Hugo.
I joined Primrose in September of 2022 as a toddler teacher. I have worked in the Early Childhood field for over 10 years in different roles. When I learned about the Primrose Balanced Learning Curriculum, I knew I wanted to be a part of that team. Building relationships with all the children, families, and teachers are my favorite parts about my position as the Education Coach. I am always excited to watch all the children and teachers grow and learn.

Ally Kremer
Hello! My name is Ally, and I am proud to be the Early Preschool teacher at Primrose!
My favorite part of the Balanced Learning Curriculum is the Early Art Masters component. It is truly hands-on and there is no right or wrong way to do it. The children can show off their skills and vision of the activity.
I love our school environment because of the support that I receive from the leadership team and my co-workers.

Hello! My name is Lili, and I am proud to be the Infant teacher at Primrose!
My favorite part of the Balanced Learning Curriculum is in the infant room you get to watch each child’s reaction to the sensory play activities. We expose them to things they may not have seen or touched before and that is so rewarding to watch their faces light up with excitement and wonder.
I love our school environment because of all of my co-teachers and the families. Everyone is so nice, and we are all focused on the same thing; what is best for young children.

Hello! My name is Alexa, and I am proud to be the Infant teacher at Primrose!
My favorite part of the Balanced Learning Curriculum is The Primrose Friends! I love that they are integrated into our daily curriculum and that they each have a character attribute that is important for children to develop.
I love our school environment because our school environment is very supportive which allows us to focus on our primary responsibility which is to create a nurturing and safe learning environment.

Hello! My name is Jenna, and I am proud to be the Early Preschool teacher at Primrose!
My favorite part of the Balanced Learning Curriculum is the Early Art Masters small group activities where children can express themselves through their creativity and very own perspective.
I love our school environment because the people truly make our school. Working in such a positive environment makes coming to work so enjoyable!

Hello! My name is Betsy, and I am proud to be the Preschool teacher at Primrose!
My favorite part of the Balanced Learning Curriculum is that the units are all laid out for teachers to ensure that we are encompassing all of the academic areas. I have worked in different age groups at Primrose, and I love that all the lessons are individually designed with various age ranges and skill levels in mind.
I love our school environment because of the children, families and my co-workers. We are truly one big family with the same goals in mind.

Hello! My name is Nick, and I am proud to be the Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Primrose!
My favorite part of the Balanced Learning Curriculum is how all of the components are connected in some way. The curriculum truly focuses on the whole child.
I love our school environment because we have such a strong sense of community between our teaching staff and the families that we serve.
