Welcome to Primrose Schools!

We are Harrison and Anita Boyd, the proud owners of Primrose School at Gray Eagle. We have been blessed with three wonderful children, a sweet and fun-loving boy, Connor, an animated and cheerful girl, Savannah, and a lively little one, Henry. Our Primrose story began just before our oldest son was born when we started looking for high-quality childcare in the Atlanta area. As working parents, we recognized the value of having your child cared for in a safe, nurturing environment that ultimately feels like an extension of your home and family. We looked at several preschools and were impressed with the warmth we felt at Primrose along with its Balanced Learning® approach, as we fell in love with the curriculum, the focus on character development, and the partnerships formed with families.

When the opportunity arose to open a Primrose school in Anita’s hometown of Indianapolis, we knew we wanted to give families the peace of mind that comes from knowing they are doing the best thing for their children and deliver the amazing Primrose experience we had as Primrose parents ourselves. We opened Primrose School of Geist in 2018, and that love for what Primrose offers has only grown stronger through our experience. We are so excited to have the opportunity to continue to bring high-quality early education and care to our community.

Anita earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University before moving to Atlanta to earn her doctorate in physical therapy from Emory University. Harrison attended Auburn University for his undergraduate degree in architecture and Georgia State University for his master’s in real estate. We met through mutual friends in Atlanta and spent 11 wonderful years there but are thrilled that this opportunity brought us to Indy to raise our family and be part of this great community!

Who children become is as important as what they know is a belief that is at the core of our Balanced Learning® approach. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing early learning experience for children and their families.

We are passionately committed to providing the highest quality care and education for our own children as well as yours. We invite you to see first-hand what differentiates Primrose School at Gray Eagle from the rest and look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our Primrose family!

See What Families Are Saying

For nearly 5 years now, we have been a dedicated Primrose family. As a mom, my first "review point" in a facility is security and the safety of my children. In addition, the structure and balanced day add to the value of the environment that I look for my children to receive while I am at work. I firmly believe in the mission, values, and structure that Primrose brings to our family. My children have really enjoyed their experiences feeling special with each teacher and staff member. Happy children, who enjoy going to school and have a passion to learn thanks to their teachers and the warm inviting classroom, leads to a happy mommy satisfied with her choice in a school. Just hearing my children sing songs and talk about the topic of the week, shows me that we are on the right track to having happy, healthy, well developing children.
My child enrolled at Primrose when he was almost 3 and currently he is just past his 5th birthday(so I will say this is his 3rd year at Primrose). Upon entering Primrose I had concerns about his academic development given that he has endured 2 sets of tubes, some hearing and a speech issue. However, the folks at the Primrose of Gray have done wonders with him. I have seen my child go from a very shy boy to one who is outgoing and one who is seeking friends for playdates.

Just this evening as we were going to an event for my daughter he was counting from 0-100(I never thought that would happen for him prior to kindergarten). For Valentines Day he signed his name and wrote in the card. He is flourishing! These are just a couple of examples that the folks at the Primorose Gray have done for him...I thank you very much!
