Welcome to Primrose School of Alpharetta East!

Our names are Lauren and Josh Jones, and we are the proud owners of the Primrose School of Alpharetta East. With the strong reputation Primrose Schools has across the Atlanta community, we first discovered Primrose looking for a place where our daughter could thrive. We were immediately drawn to Primrose Schools’ focus on character development and excellence in teaching children in a holistic, balanced approach. Now with three little children, we are so thankful to be a part of the Primrose family and are thrilled to bring our passion for education to the Primrose School of Alpharetta East and the greater Alpharetta community.

Before joining the Primrose family, Lauren worked as an elementary education teacher for fifteen years. A Georgia native – born and raised in Marietta, Georgia – she studied at Berry College and earned both an undergraduate and graduate degree in Early Childhood Education. She has teaching experience in the state of Georgia and Monterrey, Mexico as an international teacher. Most recently, Lauren worked as a first-grade teacher with the Lovett School in Atlanta.

Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Josh moved to Atlanta for work ten years ago and currently works as a technology consultant. He studied at Furman University and University of Virginia, earning a degree in accounting and is a Georgia Certified Public Accountant. Josh will support Lauren by helping with the school’s accounting and finance needs.

“Who children become is as important as what they know” is a belief that is at the core of our Balanced Learning® approach. Our exclusive early learning approach balances purposeful play with nurturing guidance from teachers to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence, and compassion. We deliver more than a curriculum; it’s a life-changing early learning experience for children and their families.

We are truly thrilled to be a part of your family’s education journey!

See What Families Are Saying

We have been a Primrose family for over 6 years, when our oldest daughter started in the infant room as a 4-month old preemie. We had researched and visited several schools in the area, but Primrose was the most well-organized, academically centered, and nurturing environment we had seen. Our daughter was very small when she started, but the love and attentiveness of the infant teachers quickly and completely settled any anxieties I had. The teachers she’s had over time, from infant through Private Pre-K and Private Kindergarten, have provided a nurturing and academically engaging environment for her, and while she’s graduated from Primrose and doing well at a private school, the teachers and staff continue to ask about her. Now that her younger sister is attending Primrose, we continue to see how well she too is enjoying the exceptional Primrose environment and curriculum. The Primrose teachers and staff truly are an extended family, and we are so grateful for their care over the years.
My son has been enrolled since he was 9 weeks old. The whole staff has been lovely. It is so hard to leave a little one when it's time to return to work and I am really grateful for the peace of mind they have given me. I am a new mom and they have been very patient with me while I figure out what I'm doing. And I LOVE the artwork they send home. My office is covered in finger paintings. It's what gets me through the day. I am lucky to have their help. I don't know what I would do otherwise.
I enrolled my eldest daughter at Primrose when I was returning to work after an (unintentionally) extended maternity leave. She was nearly 12 months old at the time, so she began in the Infant room. Ms. Neema and Ms. Nana are so wonderful with the babies and they are in such a loving and nurturing environment. She stayed in the Infant room until she was almost 18 months old, then she was transitioned to the Early Toddlers room. She began playing with her classmates in that room and learning so much. During her time in the Infant room and into the Early Toddler room she was learning baby sign language, which became to be very useful while she was learning to talk so she could communicate her wants and needs. After she turned 2 years old, my daughter was transitioned to the Early Preschool room. Now my daughter is in the Early Preschool room and I recently had another baby, who is now in the Infant room and started going to Primrose at 8 weeks old. I love that my daughters are in such a wonderfully safe, nurturing, and educational environment. The staff and teachers have been exceptional! I see the owners on a regular basis at the school and many of the staff members have been there for years. I think those two things speak volumes about the type of environment this school is. The owners have recently invested in renovations and new equipment. I feel fortunate that I have such a wonderful place to bring my children.
Our daughter, Caroline has been enrolled in Primrose since she was 10 months old. It was a tough transition for her after being home with her mother for the first 10 months. But after looking at 5-6 other schools we and Caroline seemed to feel more comfortable at Primrose. Once she got over the initial change she became very comfortable with the staff and loves going to school now. Even on the weekends as we drive by she always says “hi, school”. She loves her teachers and loves going there every day and we are grateful for the time and effort that goes into our Child's education. It’s apparent that she is learning a lot and we look forward to many years of Primrose education.
